Firestarter Partners with Galebreaker to Accelerate Growth

Firestarter is excited to announce a new project with Galebreaker Limited, designed to activate, test and accelerate growth within the company’s long‑standing commercial division. The collaboration will bring renewed focus, strategic rigour and increased sales capability to an area that has the potential to become a significant future pillar of Galebreaker’s business.

Over the last 40 years, Galebreaker has built a strong reputation for providing high performance fabric engineered solutions for commercial environments, designing and manufacturing innovative weather protection systems, internal partitioning and access solutions for farms, factories, warehouses and light industrial plants. Their historic success has drawn on extensive experience in the agricultural and industrial sectors, and while the business is already established in the commercial sector, the Galebreaker leadership team has identified a significant growth opportunity which Firestarter have been appointed to help the Galebreaker team pursue.

Building Momentum in an Underexplored Market

The project’s first priority is to add immediate strategic horsepower, providing the grip, discipline and intensity required to accelerate progress. Firestarter will work closely with internal Galebreaker sales teams and external partners to refine and strengthen the commercial sector proposition, sharpen buyer personas and messaging, and understand niches such as the waste and recycling sector, or the rapid growth in Padel court development across the UK, where early success may be most achievable.

Particular attention will be given to three areas:

  1. Building on Galebreaker’s existing key account management model, and implement a range of key account management initiatives specifically designed to grow the commercial arm of their business within key sectors.
  2. A dedicated focus on products that are already established in commercial environments – including doors, internal partition walls and external weather protection systems. Understanding the competitive landscape and common pain points will also form part of this early strategic phase.
  3. Energising Galebreaker’s digital marketing strategy to increase their reach and drive inbound traffic from commercial audiences, while deploying conversion rate optimisation (CRO) techniques to increase lead capture.

A Prototype Sales Model to Shape the Long‑term Approach

To validate and evolve the commercial roadmap, Firestarter and Galebreaker will jointly develop an active prototype sales model. This will leverage existing Galebreaker sales capability while introducing focused Firestarter sales personnel to test and measure new business development initiatives. With two internal salespeople already identified as project champions, early opportunities will be pursued collaboratively: Firestarter leading on early‑stage prospecting and sales methodology, Galebreaker providing technical expertise and delivery knowledge.

The team will also build, test and embed a long‑term sales process tailored to the commercial sector’s buyer personas – ensuring the resulting model is sustainable, scalable and aligned with real‑world customer needs.

Creating Lasting Capability and Alignment

Beyond immediate market activation, the project will establish the foundation for a medium‑term recruitment strategy covering role profiles, onboarding models and capability requirements for the future commercial team. Given Galebreaker’s ongoing ERP transformation, Firestarter will also work carefully around internal capacity constraints to ensure progress continues at pace.

The initiative will make use of Galebreaker’s existing HubSpot CRM implementation, with opportunities to transfer best‑practice sales processes into other divisions and to develop a robust Key Account Planning model, particularly important for multi‑site opportunities with existing customers.
